After having had this puzzle for a month now and having done many solves on it, it's become one of my favorite puzzles, which is quite a change from my first impressions of it. Out of the box, the turning was very stiff and very catchy, and the pieces feel like they want to move around a lot and are very prone to catching. Having adjusted the tension on it to my liking and having broken it in with numerous solves (and yes, those initial solves required a lot of patience), the turning on it now is much better than it was at first. Also, I've learned how to stabilize it as I solve it to minimize unwanted movement of pieces and ot minimize pops. Whereas the first few solves took me well over half an hour each due to the poor turning and catching, I now typically solve the puzzle in about 6-8 minutes. Once in a while a piece might pop, but it's easy to get back in. The solve itself is fun and intuitive, and the parity of a single rotated corner is quite easy and intuitive to fix. The turning of the puzzle is far from perfect, but I think that's largely thanks to the puzzle concept itself. Take a regular Dino cube and you'll see that the pieces are very turny. Now add 2x2 cuts to it, and it makes it even less stable. That's what this puzzle is essentially, a hybrid of a 2x2 and Dino cube that has been truncated into a cuboctahedron.
